Problem Overview

Scribre is a transcription app designed to simplify the process of converting audio recordings into text. Users can upload audio files, transcribe them, and organize the transcriptions into files and folders for easy management. The primary objective of Scribre is to provide an efficient and user-friendly interface that enhances productivity for users who frequently work with audio transcriptions.

Target users

  1. Journalists: Transcribe interviews and organize notes.

  2. Researchers: Convert interviews, focus groups, and lectures into text.

  3. Students: Transcribe lecture notes and group discussions.

  4. Businesses: Document meetings, conferences, and voice memos.

Problem statement

Transcription can be tedious and time-consuming. Existing tools often have complex interfaces and lack effective organization features, leading to inefficiencies. Scribre aims to address these issues by providing a streamlined and intuitive transcription and organization solution.

Challenge

Transcribtion can be daunting because of the some challenges which include 

  • Background Noise: Noises such as traffic, conversations, or electronic hums can interfere with the clarity of the recording.

  • Accents and Dialects: Various accents and dialects can affect the transcription accuracy.

  • Language challenges: Some users can speak in various languages while recording the audio
     

Solution

Scribre addresses some of this challenges as follows 

  • The applicatio uses advanced noise reduction and audio enhancement technologies to cancel out the background noise.

  • The appliction combines Automaated Speech recognition  technology with human transcribers to ensure higher accuracy and contextual understanding.

  • Scribre provides supposrt for multiple languages like English,Portuguese and Spanish
     

User Interface design 

Scribre uses Minimalistic design approach with a focus on functionality and uses the apple design system for its components like buttons, icons and forms
Scribre uses consistent Visual Language, Consistent color schemes, typography, and iconography throughout the app.
The app has User-Friendly Forms,Clear labels, helpful tooltips, and validation messages.

Created low-fidelity wireframes to outline the basic structure and layout of the app.
